Spain's Talgo Train Successfully Tested on Mathura-Palwal Route
The Spanish super fast train Talgo broke the speed record of the Country's faster train on Wednesday. Now a days only Gatimaan Express runs at 160kmph between Hazrat Nizamuddin to Agra cantt. But Talgo the super fast train breaks this record which runs at 180kmph between Mathura to Palwal. But the second phase trial of Talgo train is complete. It began on 9th july and which will end on 30th july.
Trail of Spanish train Talgo, whose speed goes up to 115kmps was conduct between Bareilly and Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh as the part of Indian Railway's strategy to increase the speed of trains. Now a days also Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani Express runs at an average of 85kmps.
In Indian Railway history, for the first time a Talgo train runs at a high speed. After the second phase trial, the third phase of trail will conduct between Mumbai and New Delhi to know the maximum and minimum time taken by Talgo train to cover a distance of approx 1400 kms.
The Indian Railway's Research Design and Standard Organisation (RDSO) will also plan several more rounds of tests till 26th july. ADRM said that “Today's successful achievement is major milestone in railway history and this achievement gets us more closer to our dreams of having high-speed train service on current railway tracks”.
Hamid Akhtar, Executive Director of Indian Railway's Research Design and Standard Organisation said that “It is difficult to say anything about success and failure of the trial of Talgo train...We'll count the maximum and minimum timing and also other parametres during journey...After the data was analysed then we will be able to say anything.”
