Union Public Service Commission Postpones Civil Service Exam Notification 2016
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has been postponed the date of its civil examination 2016. The UPSC date for issuance of notification for civil services examination 2016 has been postponed, without any notice. The notification was due to be issued on Saturday.
The civil service examination is conducted by UPSC. The UPSC conducts civil service examination in three stages preliminary, main and interview. UPSC conducts this examination to select candidates for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) and others.
The UPSC said in a note issued on Monday that, “The civil services examination, 2016 (and the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) examination, 2016), scheduled to be notified on April 23, 2016, will be notified later.”
However, the sources did not cite any reason for the postponement of the notification date.
An expert committee, under the chairmanship of former Human Resource Development Secretary and retired IAS officer B S Baswan, constituted by the government is examining various issues related to age relaxation, eligibility, syllabus and pattern of civil services examination.
